Ein Mann hält eine Hand voll Karten.

Mau Mau

What you need:

  • at least 2 players

  • Pack of cards with 52 cards

Game instructions:

Mau Mau is a laying out game. The winner is the first player to play all their cards. The winner shouts Mau Mau when he wins. The remaining players usually play the game to the end.

Deal of cards

At the beginning, each player receives the same number of cards (often five or six), which they hold in their hand. The remaining cards are placed face down in a pile. The top card of the pile is placed face up next to it.

Course of the game

In turns, each player now places one of their cards face up on top of the neighbouring card - if this is possible. This is possible if the card to be played matches the top card face up in terms of card value or card colour. (Example: Either another spade card or another 10 may be placed on top of the 10 of spades). If a player cannot or does not want to lay a card, he must draw a card from the pile and it is the next player's turn. Once the pile has been used up, the discarded cards, except for the top visible card, are laid out again as a pile.

Have fun playing!

Alles, außer langweilig!
